The Food and Beverage Supervisor assists F&B Director and Assistant F&B Director in overseeing the Food and Beverage Operations for the Club. Mainly in the areas of the Canyon Room, Men's Locker Room and Card Room Grill, and Lady's Locker Room.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maximize member satisfaction by providing impeccable service
  • Resolve member and guest incidents and complaints
  • Communicate Food & Beverage issues to the Assistant Director and Director of Food and Beverage in timely fashion
  • Ensure all standard operating procedures for sales and cost controls are in place and consistently followed
  • Assist the Assistant F&B Director in controlling labor and actively monitor staffing based on business needs
  • Monitor the daily line-ups to ensure communication with the staff about training, daily operations, club news, etc. Keep a detailed log of these pre-shifts with information that was discussed and who was in attendance
  • Monitor staff for safe and proper handling of equipment
  • Maintain an effective orientation and training program for new and existing staff
  • Hold line staff accountable through proper documentation procedures under the guidance of the Assistant Food and Beverage Director
  • Supervise, coach, and counsel staff on service standards, uniform and grooming policies, and professional behavior standards to ensure member satisfaction
  • Facilitate safety training of the staff
  • Assist and communicate regularly with the Assistant Food and Beverage Director and Banquet Manager to ensure banquet set ups are complete
  • Create weekly staff schedule. Reconcile schedule with payroll timekeeping system, to monitor hours worked versus hours scheduled
  • Maintain proper menu items and pricing in POS software. Run a monthly audit to ensure pricing match and report to Food and Beverage Director
  • Ensure BEOs are accurate prior to shift
  • Maintain Work Orders through the Work Order System and inform Assistant F&B Director of orders that have been placed
  • Assist the Canyon Room Sous Chef with building a collective team environment
  • Maintain weekly Member Recognition program
  • Maintain Standard of the Month program
  • Maintain Menu Quiz program
  • Assists the Assistant Food and Beverage Director with other projects and duties as needed and directed

 Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Must be computer literate and proficient with POS units and Microsoft Outlook
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Extensive Food and Wine knowledge is highly desired
  • Must have general knowledge of state, county and city liquor laws
  • Ability to develop, execute, teach and follow up on training programs for supervisory and service staff
  • Ability to coordinate a team of diverse personalities and positions using excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to coach & counsel staff members in a positive, results driven manner
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously with high efficiency
  • This is a "hands on" position. Must be able to assist the staff with set up & service of events, execution of meal periods, assist with seating, clearing, running of food, etc


Prefer college degree in Hospitality Management or equivalent experience of at least three years.

Experience, certifications, licenses, etc.:

A proven track record and appropriate career path in food and beverage with experience of at least five years managing multiple dining venues and banquet facilities in a full service, upscale dining setting. Private Club or luxury Hotel Company preferred.

 Physical/Environmental Demands:

Requires lifting up to 50 lbs. Must be able to stand, bend, stoop, twist and turn for prolonged periods of time. Banquet set up entails moving tables, chairs, equipment, etc.

 Work Environment:

Indoor, outdoor restaurant and kitchen environment.

 Salary Range$26-28 per hour
