Big Canyon Country Club has vacancies for full-time line cooks for the PM Shift.  This position works in the Food and Beverage department and report to the Sous Chef. This position prepares food to meet club recipes standards.

Duties and Responsibilities

Prepares recipes based on club culinary standards
Sets-up, maintains and breaks down salad prep station
Identifies products needed and requisitions them
Notifies chef or sous chef in advance of product shortages
Maintains safety and security in work area
Maintains neat professional appearance and observes personal cleanliness rules at all times
Adheres to state and local health and safety standards
Maintains the highest sanitary standards
Ensures that work station and equipment are clean and sanitary
Covers, dates and neatly stores re-usable leftover products
Ensures that food products are used before they spoil
Attends staff meetings.
Prepares and serves items in accordance with established portion and presentation standards.
Makes recommendations for the maintenance, repair and upkeep of the salad areas and equipment
Performs other appropriate tasks as assigned by Sous chef

Notificar a los chefs cuando los productos empiecen a acabarse 
Mantener reas de trabajo seguras 
Seguir reglas de salud del estado 
Seguir normas sanitarias 
Asegurarse de limpiar reas de trabajo 
Cubrir comida que sobre y ponerle fechas
Asegurarse que la comida se use antes de sus fechas de caducidad 
Atender juntas de trabajo 
Preparar y servir platos acuerdo de las normas de presentacin y basadas en las porciones de cada plato
Hacer recomendaciones al equipo de mantenimiento para reparar maquinas en la cocina cuando hace falta
Ayudar con otros deberes asignados

Minimum Qualifications and Requirements

Must be familiar with meats, vegetables, produce, kitchen equipment, cleaning supplies and chemicals; excellent knife skills and techniques, excel in verbal communication
Minimum of 1-3 years kitchen experience preferred
High School Diploma preferred

Requerimientos Minimos
Ser familiar con carnes, vegetales, frutas, equipo de cocina, productos de limpieza
Ser familiar con cuchillos y mtodos para cortar comida
Se prefiere experiencia en la cocina (al menos 1-2 ans)
Se prefiere candidatos con diploma de la preparatoria 

Physical/Environmental Demands
Requires lifting up to 40 lbs. Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time and work in high temperature kitchens

Work Environment

Primarily in-door dining service. Occasionally out-door terrace dining service. Occasionally service at other Club venues including pool, tennis court, health club and golf course.

Salary: $15 to $18 per hour depending on experience
